14 Sep League Away Sale Coyotes 5–3 Win 3

A well deserved 3 pts today lads — well done! It was a proper team effort against a good side and you all played some great football too. Our shape was good today coupled with a massive effort by midfield and some great link-up play down the flanks. Nice one Noah on your league debut goal! And a big shout out to Dylan between the sticks — I counted 3 or 4 vital blocks/saves and some tidy distribution which gave us possession and put us on the front foot.

28 Sep League Away Fletcher Moss 1–0 Win 3 🏅 Ethan

What a great game that was! Let's be honest a draw would have been fair — Fletchers are a fine side — but a key decision finally going our way allowed Keizo to slot home from the spot in the 88th minute. Loads to love today and I think with a touch more belief in our ability to play when there's time we could have taken the game to them a bit more. Hopefully that will come but our shape was really good again, workrate was massive.

Ooof that was a sore one. I won't go as far as to say it was a game of two halves but that 4th goal just before HT took it away from us — for spells we did play some good football, creating a few chances and we were in the game. Well done Winton, they are a strong team who arrived early with the right attitude hungry for 3 pts.

Frustrating one today — we deserved a lot more out of this game and overall I do think we were the better side. Loads of good play in the first half where we got in on the right again and again — and after Henry's equaliser we really should have taken the lead when we were firmly on top. Conor, Aker, Rio and Henry linking up particularly well.

A few cups of tea later and I'm still pretty hacked off about today — we have to be beating them today. Sloppiness killed a lot of our good work — poor restarts straight to the opposition, extra touches at the back when we should be clearing our lines, turning into danger in the middle of the park. Either halted our momentum or gave them a chance to get back on the front foot.

23 Nov League Away Trafford 1–9 Loss 0 🏅 Dalton

A filthy day and a lousy result. Well beaten today in awful conditions by probably the best team we've faced this season. Trafford are a good side with 7 or 8 comfortable on the ball — it was hard not to admire their movement, hunger and overall team play. Clearly we were never really at it today but you can see why they have shipped a few goals this season as there was always space down the flanks.

11 Jan League Away Winton Wanderers 2–3 Loss 0 🏅 Conor

What a great advert for junior football. No let up for 80 mins — both teams fully committed, admirably trying to pass on a tough pitch and playing the game in a great spirit. Well done all. Performance levels were noticeably up today and I thought we competed well all over the pitch, led by the defence who handled a lot of pressure and took to their new shape really well.

The overriding feeling is we didn't do enough today and Sale, who stuck really well to a short passing game on a sticky pitch, deserved their win. The first half was really slow and we just couldn't seem to get going — we defended for long spells and desperately needed possession and territory to get into the game. Boys miles more competitive than earlier in the season and says something about how far we've come that we are so disappointed today.

01 Mar League Away Wilmslow Jags 1–5 Loss 0 🏅 Henry

Three penalties in a match — well, I've never experienced that before! And whilst Dylan pulled off a great save on the 3rd, the game was done and dusted by then as we were well beaten by a fairly average side. Sadly we just didn't get going today — the game was flat and our passing was really sloppy all over the park apart from the 15 mins before HT where Wilmslow's 3rd goal seemed to shake us into action.

15 Mar League Home Altrincham 1–6 Loss 0 🏅 Reuben

A belting first half performance delivered exactly what we asked for — great attitude, competing, encouraging, bravery on the ball. We more than matched a side who have been putting teams away all season. Clearly we were a bit fortuitous not to concede at times but with Dylan making a few decent saves and the lads working so hard and linking up so well they earned their luck. A completely different second half sadly.

22 Mar Cup Away Trafford 1–3 Loss 🏅 George

Cup Semi-final. So proud of the lads today — they took a strong Trafford side all the way to the final whistle in a hard-fought cup tie. Yes it would have been nice to win but the performance was full of positives and showed what the lads are made of. When we bring the right attitude, are prepared to put a shift in and support and encourage one another we'll give most teams a proper game. Today we did that.

Another game of two halves against Alty today. Really watchable first half where we came in at 2–2 looking the better side but sadly tiredness and a lack of fitness kicked in to take the game away from us in the second. With the Easter break hopefully behind us now, let's make sure we finish the season on a high.

A cracking game played at a really fast pace with both teams competing all over the park for 80 mins. Result aside I thought the lads stood up to the physical challenge thrown at them really well tonight and whilst Fletchers earned their win I can't help wondering whether we could have run them a bit closer if their 3rd goal was correctly flagged for offside.

Well, that's all folks. The curtain fell on the league campaign today and I think it displayed how we've grown into this division. Let's be honest Trafford schooled us in the reverse fixture pre-Christmas but in the cup semi recently and again this morning the lads stuck together, competed well and ran them to the final whistle. It was a great watch in spells.
